Homework Assignment:
Assignment #1 Due
Mon. September 4
Read Chapter 1. Introduction and
Chapter 2 Basic Circuit Analysis. Also be aware of Appendix A Solution
of Linear Equations, and Appendix B Complex Numbers of the textbook.
Prepare answers for these problems from the
textbook. Be prepared to discuss your solutions in classroom discussion and
hand-in your written solutions on the date specified above. Study the examples
and their solutions in the assigned sections.
Chapter 1 Problems 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 17, 19, 20, 32, 35, 37 and 39.
Note that the answers to many of these
problems are given at the back of the textbook beginning on page A-35.
Refreshing your technique for solving
simultaneous linear equations and the manipulation of complex numbers are
essential to the forthcoming analysis tasks. Use this first week to brush away
the cobwebs and get reacquainted with your calculator. Study the examples in
the appendices and be sure you know how to solve the assigned problems.
